In 2006, the Calvin Ayre Foundation held the Children’s Day celebration in the Museo del Niño (Children’s Museum).

The Foundation tended to every detail and, as in other years, successfully created a fun and nurturing atmosphere.

The response of the children, through their laughter and smiles, was a deeply felt expression of their gratitude.

The Calvin Ayre Foundation made a donation of 60 office chairs to a nursing home.

Thanks to this donation, the nursing home was able to raise funds to cover its other needs.

As part of its educational and recreational field trips program, the Calvin Ayre Foundation organized an activity for the students of the Rafael Ángel Calderón School, at the Zoo Ave animal park in Garita de Alajuela.

The children could barely contain their excitement as they were transported by bus to the zoo. When they arrived, they were thrilled by the sights they saw.

They were able to observe and study the animals, and they learned a great deal about the value of ecosystems, the importance of biodiversity and about the issues concerning the conservation of the environment.
