Sports Donation Rafael Ãngel Calderón School The importance of sports and their role in the lives of children has never been greater. According to the American Council on Exercise, "physically active children have a stronger self-image and more self-confidence." Issues that accompany low self esteem problems such as drugs or violence are not as pronounced in children that are physically active and/or involved in sports and team activities. Sports enhance a child's self esteem, which is crucial to their development. The Calvin Ayre Foundation made a donation of sports uniforms, balls and gloves on the completion of the school basketball court funded by the foundation. 8 photos |
